Western Sculpture Park – A free neighborhood public art venue, with rotating works of art in Saint Paul Minnesota. Grant was very inspired with Mr. Hock’s original suggestion that the abandoned crime infested park could become a beautiful place where large outdoor sculpture could be displayed in a garden like atmosphere. He took the idea to build and inspire a citizen’s team to create and maintain the park. Grant worked to empower others to bring the vision to completion. As the project grew he worked under the umbrella and leadership of Public Art Saint Paul and others in the community to see it to completion. The park also hosts teaching events to inspire young people’s creativity. The park has cut crime and added much to the neighborhood and children of the area.
